The Benedict
Our current project is a conversion of the former Mount Saint Mary Convent in Ross Township, just a few miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The convent was built in the late 1920s and served as a place of respite for ailing Sisters. The original convent was located on Bigelow Boulevard and was demolished in 1950. Thankfully this amazing building will be saved from that fate!

The property is situated on a 10 acre parklike setting, with dog parks, fire pits, walking paths, and amazing outdoor spaces!
Occupancy should begin Spring 2026. TheBenedictPgh.com

Print Shop Lofts
This was our first major warehouse conversion and it'll always be our favorite. It was most recently a Print Shop, but before that the property was home to Thomas Coffin & Co, a clay pot manufacturing company that played a vital role in supplying Pittsburgh’s booming glass industry. In 1903, the Dixon Woods Co. bought the property and expanded production, including furnace bricks for local steel mills. In 1937, the property—by then including 4 large buildings—was sold to the Kleber Trunk Co., which became a major manufacturer of luggage and foot lockers, especially for the military during World War II. The Kleber Trunk Co. operated here until 1964. In 1964, the complex was sold to Silvestri Bros. Plaster Cast Co., a company making plaster cast novelty items for theme parks and carnivals nationwide. We bought the property in 2012 and converted it into 40 loft style apartments!

3030 Jane Street
Originally part of the Thomas Coffin & Co clay pot company, in 1989, J Verno Studios/Impressions Photo Inc. purchased the site and used it as a production studio for photography and film, with the interior converted into multiple studio and event spaces. We purchased the property in 2023 and continue to use it as an event space.

Homestead Hospital Nurse's School
In 2022 we purchased the former Homestead Hospital and retrofitted that property for the Devereaux Foundation to use as a health care facility and school.

Also on the site is a 4 story former nurse's school that we are converting into 32 apartments with amazing views of the surrounding area!

St. Anthony Catholic Church
In 2022 we purchased Voodoo Brewery in Homestead. This property was originally the Homestead Municipal Building and Fire Department. We are currently converting it into 16 apartments overtop of an amazing restaurant space!

1103 Western Avenue
Not much is known about the history of 1103 Western Avenue, but we still love it and we are going to start converting it to residential spaces as soon as we get our building permit!

Bowtie High

Here's the thing - Homestead has changed and so have the options for renting. Welcome to Bowtie High - this 31 unit, school to apartment conversion can not be described as anything less...than fire. Garage parking (with Tesla/EV charging), fitness center (stacked with a Peloton, of course) and a killer common space has you like "screaming face emoji" before we even make it through the first sentence of amenities. Each apartment has their own separate large storage unit, additional office/conference space available and an elevator that services the whole building. And we know that elevator will be used after your workout in the fitness center. Shall we tell you about the custom built wainscoting, the original terrazzo flooring and the crown molding throughout the main floor hallways, or let you be impressed visually when you're stopping by to sign a lease? Jumping into our 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, you'll quickly see you have enough natural light to get a suntan while watching TV. ([To be read extremely fast]....Disclaimer, Bowtie High owners do not condone, promote, or encourage such behavior. It is not safe or permitted to sunbathe without sunscreen on. Consult with a dr... etc etc etc. ) Where were we. Super tall ceilings, killer hardwood floors, white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops and all the other things that sound fancy. Non dumb lights (aka smart lights) and walk in closet with in unit laundry. Overall, an amazing apartment with top notch amenities. Last, but by far not the least, we are super close to Voodoo Brewery, Dukes Upper Deck Cafe, Local Motion (yoga studio) Steel Valley Roasters, Homestead Escape room, Axe Throwing and many more local restaurants and attractions. Bowtie High - let's start living

Schwab Industrial School
This one is near and dear to our hearts! The first trade school IN THE WORLD, built right in Homestead, minutes from Pittsburgh, in 1905! Completed in 2023 and 100% occupied since Day 1!

610 Wood Street
610 Wood St in downtown Pittsburgh is a six historic brick and stone office building located in the city's Cultural District. It was built in 1891. Over the years, it has primarily served as an office building—housing a variety of businesses.
There is no widely documented record of it having a single iconic use (such as a bank or major landmark), but its architecture and longevity make it a notable part of Pittsburgh's downtown historic fabric. Our plan is to convert it into 39 residential homes.

Homestead Municipal Building - Voodoo Brewing
In 2022 we purchased Voodoo Brewery in Homestead. This property was originally the Homestead Municipal Building and Fire Department. We are currently converting it into 16 apartments overtop of an amazing restaurant space!

Marshall Elevator Building
In 1818, the Marshall brothers built the headquarters of Marshall Elevator Company at 2015 Mary Street in the Southside of Pittsburgh. We've restored part of the building into our offices, and the rest we've turned into a storage facility. Rick Sebak even made a documentary about it! Check out the basement at the 15 minute mark of this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB5j_eMIToI
